Afterthought Brewing Company is looking for a part-time employee who will assist (often independently) with brewing and packing as well as general brewery maintenance. Initial expected time is 10 hours per week with the opportunity to grow as the business grows. Hours are flexible with nights and weekends okay. Pay based on experience.
We use Blichmann equipment and have two side-by-side 30-gallon systems and brew exclusively what can generally be described as saisons/farmhouse ales. Fermentation is mostly in oak barrels with some in stainless.

REQUIRED
Passion for saisons and barrel fermentation/aging.
Desire to learn and take on more responsibility over time as the brewery continues to grow.
Ability to lift and move weights of 55 pounds or more (full grain sacks, sixtel kegs, and more).
Ability to stand, kneel, and generally move around and navigate brewing equipment for long periods of time.
Brewing experience and know how, whether as a homebrewer or in a professional capacity.
Knowledge of, and experience with, blending and packaging, including bottle conditioning.
21 or older and legally eligible for employment in the United States.
General competency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and/or Google Docs.
RECOMMENDED

Experience with fruit processing and refermentation.
General experience with maintenance of brewing equipment and ability to work with basic tools and perform simple handiwork.
Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
