I mean, I know I can't claim to be the most objective observer in the world, but it's those kinds of plays - intentionally trying to hurt the opposing player - that grinds my gears. The BountyGate never got the attention it deserved. Or back in the day, when the Denver offensive line was known for using illegal chop blocks; how many knees got blown out because of that?

Taking video of signals from the wrong spot, when everyone in the stadium can see them? Meh.
Aaron Rodgers intentionally over-inflating the football? Meh.
The Vikings' and Panthers' ballboys heating up the footballs on the sidelines, against league rules? Meh.
Cleveland Browns getting improper text messages on the sidelines (this one kind of disappeared). Meh.

Trying to blow out a guy's knee? Intentionally stomping on a guy's injured ankle? **** that ****.

So, by pointing out that the Jets cheat too, you're saying what? The patties are no better than the Jets? Excellent argument.

DAMN IT!!!! One of the guys I'm heading out there with just scored four tickets to the Playboy party.

Grrrrrrrrrrr (shaking my fist at the heavens).

Now I am going to have to pack something other than flip-flops!

i could be wrong, but I think it's the law of identity that'll explain why, by virtue of playboy models ignoring your entire existence, they will also ignore your shoes.

i had a nice, eloquent burn that was just the right amount of nerdy, and you had to f--k it up by going full-nerd.

thanks.

Trash talk hat off for a moment.

I really can't believe the amount of hate out there. I never would have believed it, but listening to the interviews, Yikes. There are people comparing the Pats to the Black Sox. It really is hard to believe.

Now back to your regularly scheduled trash talk.

Ask yourself why the hate. It's really not all that surprising (and no it has nothing to do with winning).

From your side, why the hate?

I think it has more to do with winning than you think. If the Pats had Oakland's record every year, no one would hate them.

And that's why I was all fired up about this the few days. It's absolutely effin ridiculous. There are Op-Ed pieces in the New York Times, not the Post.., The Times on how Brady and Belichick should be banned, how the Pats should be kicked out of the Super Bowl...

STFU...

And again, if this was the Vikings we wouldn't hear about it. Oh wait, the vikings were actually found guiltynpf it and we didn't hear about it.

Yes some people hate teams for one reason or another and that's fine. The majority of people that hate the Pats, hate them because they have dominated for so long. Some people won't believe me but just wait until another team dominates. Those same people won't care about the Pats and they will start hating the new dominate team. It happens in every sport.

I'll take it... any of you fkcusticks would love to get slapped by a Playboy model. If you say you wouldn't, you're a lying liar who lies.

So is this the main Playboy party or the tier 2 Cross Dressing Playboy Party? Because those "girls" hit with a fist.

Read the fine print...

Seriously: Can the media leave Marshawn alone? This is going to be a train wreck when the cameras actually do disappear.

If they would have left him alone we wouldnt have gotten to see him speak all those words today!

How could that turn into a train wreck? He hates the cameras and wants them to disappear. Having to speak with the media is probably the fuel he needs to run Wilfork over. :D

Evidently he does a lot of good stuff with the youth in his community. It is too bad that he isn't using a national stage to discuss that. Think about the good he could do for the program and the example he could set for the young people he works with. It doesn't need to have anything to do with money or fame.

I can see both sides of the Marshawn Lynch media issue.

On the one hand, personally, I couldn't possibly care less about how he interacts with the media... just like I don't give a flying rats ass about how Belichick interacts with the media. "Boo hooooo. These guys don't feed into our huge machine that generates piles of bullshti!" Yeah.,, sorry. Don't care.

Hell... I'll go a step further and say the whole "I'm here so I won't get fined" thing cracked me up. Holding his crotch?? Ehhhh. That I have an issue with but that's a different topic.

On the other hand... and I have always come down this way on this topic.... he works for a company. If he doesn't like what the company requires of him... fckuing quit. I have zero sympathy for any of these fckus when it comes to this stuff. "They won't let me wear gold cleats!" Yeah? And? Go ask the CFL if they'll let you. Same with the media... the NFL requires that you be available to the media. You are their "product"... if you don't like the NFL's rules.... don't work there.

He does actually, just not to the horrible game day type "reporters". He is a good man and I don't blame him for not giving in to this modern day BS media who only wants to create news or find a way to destroy a person.

Holy cow, is a civilized discussion going on right now?!

The thing about the whole "working for the company" issue isnt what you're making it up to be Cape. The NFL does require him to speak to the media or be fined. He has a choice, which are both perfectly legal as far as company terms go. Why would he have to quit? He could skip every media session every required and just be fined. He obviously like his money and so shows up for his required face time.

I personally really enjoy his interviews and find it refreshing compared to the regular "we worked as a unit" "this was a team win" "we never gave up" bull crap that every other player or leader is manufactured to spew. Marshawn is being himself in an industry that normal doesnt like to showcase that. The Seahawks organization obviously dont care that he doesnt fit the "NFL player mold" and I applaud them for not trying to change that.

All I was saying was I have zero sympathy for pro athletes, or frankly anyone else, who doesn't like the rules of their employer.... Especially pro athletes. Should players try to get every benefit they can? Of course. But at the end of the day if they don't like the rules, requirements, etc that the league lays down... no one is putting a gun to their head and making them cash the checks. They should feel free to quit and go do something else.

(It's a position/discussion I've gone through a bunch of times on HBT)
