Richard Sherman probably appeals to a certain segment of the population. It's just not people that want the game to be played inside the lines and for the players to conduct themselves as professionals outside the lines. Does Brady trash talk? Hell yeah. He does it inside the lines and backs it up with his play. Plenty of Players do that from all teams. You hear interviews from former players about how this guy or that guy was always talking.
Point is, it takes a big man and a professional to do it on the field, and walk away. It's the punks that keep talking afterwards. Let's be honest, would you have more or less respect for Richard Sherman if he acted like a pro?
I gotta guess that a big part of it starts at the top of the organization. I know Robert Kraft would not put up with that ****. Look what happened to Wes Welker for a couple foot comments. I only use the Patriots as an example because that is who I know. I doubt teams like GB would put up with it either.
Richard Sherman could get a lot of respect for what he does, but respect is earned, not given. You can't tell people how good you are and expect that they will respect you. I can see he is a gifted athlete, but I have very little respect for him.
