Yea i think teams believe he is a "good" corner which is why they dont throw his way.

Yeah, using stats to try to identify the best corner isn't really possible. The best corners aren't really ever tested. The fact that he was only thrown at twice on Sunday tells you something...

Regardless, the discussion isn't about if he's a good/great CB. He is. The discussion is how he's an unsportsmanlike prick, *******.

Crap i forgot stats and all. My bad people return to your flame session.

lol! 3 years, you say? 2011 he had.....4 interceptions. not on the map. sorry.

this year, his best year, he's tied for whopping 14th place for "pass defended". Tied for 41st in the post season with....1

stop making up stats - that's Patriots fans move.

You mean this year when he was targeted less than any other corner in the league.

If you're such an expert on the NFL tell me who's a better corner than Sherm.

Funny how you all are arguing about whether or not he is a ******. Who cares? These guys are entertainers, not role models. Be entertained by them...I don't understand why people get worked up about what athletes say. The only thing that matters is what kind of player he is. Currently, he's the best CB on the planet.

But the thing is, they are role models. A high school kid playing CB on his high school football will look up to him as a role model and want to be like him one day. Kids will pick up anything he says or does. That is part of the reason people talk about stuff like this. I'm not saying what he did was right or wrong, I'm merely saying athletes are role models and need to be held to higher standards when in the public eye.

Especcially when it is something that relates to their sport. I don't expect an athlete to be a role model for fidelity or alcoholism or whatever personal issue they have, I do when it comes to sportsmanship and how to represent your team and the sport.

Says the guy who's team took a cheap shot on our gunner when he went out of bounds on a kick-off. Great sportsmanship there.

Here we go. Now we have a source, that's not Sherman's brother, who also witnessed the event. Says Sherman was the instigator and was the one angry. Seems much more plausible considering their personalities and the fact that Crabtree was in a cast. If true that makes him a lying sack of **** too.

Wow, you just believe anyone who gives you information that you like don't you? Some dude said it was Sherman....MUST BE TRUE!!!!

a source who was at the Fitzgerald charity event—and who has no familial or professional relationship to Sherman or Crabtree—

Idiot

Richard Sherman probably appeals to a certain segment of the population. It's just not people that want the game to be played inside the lines and for the players to conduct themselves as professionals outside the lines. Does Brady trash talk? Hell yeah. He does it inside the lines and backs it up with his play. Plenty of Players do that from all teams. You hear interviews from former players about how this guy or that guy was always talking.
Point is, it takes a big man and a professional to do it on the field, and walk away. It's the punks that keep talking afterwards. Let's be honest, would you have more or less respect for Richard Sherman if he acted like a pro?
I gotta guess that a big part of it starts at the top of the organization. I know Robert Kraft would not put up with that ****. Look what happened to Wes Welker for a couple foot comments. I only use the Patriots as an example because that is who I know. I doubt teams like GB would put up with it either.
Richard Sherman could get a lot of respect for what he does, but respect is earned, not given. You can't tell people how good you are and expect that they will respect you. I can see he is a gifted athlete, but I have very little respect for him.

Also thanks tripper for tuning me into the new app was wondering wtf was going on

You're quite welcome. In return, kindly click off the damned checkbox at the bottom of the compose screen that causes your phone to end your poasts with something not one friggin' soul gives a **** about...

Cheers! ;)

Can you say Larry Fvcking Bird?

Bottom line: you catch a guy for an interview 30 seconds after the biggest play/game of his life and his adrenaline is pumpin because some chump named Crabtree was an a$$hole to him and he finally exacted his revenge.

Did he make some out of character off-color comments that he regrets? Absolutely. Is he a malicious un-classy guy? Absolutely not.

Sherman, through his nonprofit and personal income gives away more $ to Children's hospitals than 90% of the players in this league and he does so with a much smaller salary. Just saying you gotta look at the whole picture.

Cheers for that. I don't know why The Management can't have the package default to leaving that stupid thing unchecked. Nobody cares what kind of device anyone's posting from - or that they're using an app instead of a browser.

In fairness, the new app in theory is or will be more capable once they wring the bugs out. The old branded app didn't provide a way to post pics, for example, and no doubt once I get the hang of the new app I'll find something else it can do that the old version couldn't do.

That said, the 1.3.18 version of the old app was rock fricken' solid on everything I used it on, including a Kindle and a pair of DroidXs that we use when we're doing stuff that we don't want to risk our newer toys (like mowing, welding, fishing/boating/beaching, gardening - and brewing).

If someone ever figures out how to get the alternative Tapatalk app to find this HBT site, the old toys should be viable for following the forums again...

Cheers! (ps: the sig is a test to see if Hoppy can use Google ;) )

How is Crabtree a chump and how was he an *******? Conflicting stories on the charity event. I'm inclined to believe the shy quiet guy.

You're quite the contrarian. I thought we were talking about Sherman?

You're the one justifying Sherman's actions by saying Crabtree was a chump and an ******* to Sherman, none of which is verifyable and all of which comes from the mouth of Sherman. Sherman is acting the villain and then saying oh but please don't not like me because that's not who I really am.

Since you brought it up.. Crabtree is far from shy. Search google for Vernon Davis and Crabtree altercation. This knucklehead fights with people on his own team. So Chump, yeah he's a chump!

Dear god that was three years ago and they had an argument over who knows what. Sherman is the villain and he has made the Hawks and Seattle the villain. There's no excuse for the **** he pulled on the field after that play. He's an *******.

Right shy guy. Must be why the shades get brought out during post game interviews cause he's just a shy humble guy with a light sensitivity.

There's that shyness again wonder who he's not talking about. As a shy guy he surely wouldn't speak out against anyone.
