So, let's use an Analogy here so the Pats fans here can see how normal people think.

Everyone speeds while driving. When most people get caught speeding, they pay the ticket and realize they need to slow down. Tom Brady, on the other hand, called the cop an ******* (by making jokes about it on national media) lied to the cop (both to the press and to investigators) and now your mad he's getting a bigger ticket.

I wonder what it's like to be a whiney little pats fan bitch.

Okay so Pac-Man Jones gets a four game suspension for paralyzing some dude and Ben Rothlisberger get a four-game suspension for deagging some girl into the bathroom and raping her and Tom Brady gets a four game suspension for telling the equipment guys "I like the ball soft." Yup, that seems about right.

Sure. You nailed it

Don't forget Terrell Suggs.... He's beaten his wife several times... He got zero games

Just getting caught up on the thread....Is the consensus by Pats fans that the punishment was to harsh or that there should not have been a punishment at all?

There is a short list of things from a Pats fan's perspective:

1) the fact that there is even a "Wells Report" is fckuing ridiculous. As has been pointed out several times... There have been VERY similar instances rule breaks since 2012 that have ranged from "don't do that again" to $20k fines. This got months of private investigations and a 234 page report... plus 24/7 news cycles as if they got caught sacrificing nuns

2) in that 234 page report... not once do that have any evidence that Brady told anyone to do anything against the rules. The flurry of texts simply hint at Brady being a dick about getting balls that were OVER-inflated... and then the equipment guys being pissed about it. No where does it say anything about Brady telling anyone to deflate the balls below what the rules say. The report cops out with, "he probably knew there was some general rule breaking going on".... and everyone who can spell "football" has taken to the airwaves with "but think of the children!!!! Brady should be banned for life!!" You gotta be fckuing kidding me.

I think there should have been a punishment for the equipment guys if they could show they intentionally broke a rule...

... and for the 20th time... 2012... Chargers got caught using stickum (kinda like Jerry Rice)... They then destroyed the evidence when the league requested it... $20k fine.

The Pats supposedly got caught putting one lb less psi in the footballs.... Show no tolerance and fine them 10 times that.... $200k

If they can show ANY hard evidence that Brady was involved... fine... Ding him too...

But none of that happened

maybe you should try not having a program that has a long and documented history of blatantly breaking the rules.

just a suggestion.

Thanks for the Pats side.

In my opinion, if past abuses indicate a trend for more egregious abuses in the future, then those trying to protect the NFL’s $billions will keep clamping down harder and harder with each abuse in the name of the game’s “integrity.” I think the last thing the NFL wants is a perception that the game is not 100% fair and legit. I think the Pats and Brady just got “caught” at the wrong time given all the NFL issues over the last couple of years.

I think any team caught cheating on their way to winning a Super Bowl would be hit hard like this. It doesn't help that they have a storied reputation with cheating though. Cape, if any of the others teams you mentioned were found to be cheating during the playoffs it would have been a completely different story.

And this "storied reputation" story line is total bullshti. They got caught doing something fckuing ONCE.... and now it is suddenly somehow a "storied reputation". The fckuing Broncos filed false contracts with the league to circumvent the fckuig salary cap, get both Elway, and Terrell Davis on the team....'On their way to a Super Bowl win.... but that's no biggie apparently. No "integrity of the game" issues there.

Why don't people just grow a pair and admit it? They hate the Pats because the Pats win and they hate them even more because they think Belichick is a smug *********... So when the Pats get punched in the balls, regardless of how much bullshti it is, people **** all over themselves. Just call it what it is.

Cape is just being obnoxious; there's no way he believes the garbage spewing from his keyboard. I mean look at the thread title. I would be just so retarded to actually think that way. Pats got caught cheating in the AFC Championship Game. NFL knew and allowed Tom to play in the SB which they were handed a victory. The nerve to play victim and use apple and oranges comparisons over and over is just way too obnoxious to be a real thing. Good one Cape...you had everyone going there, but I see what you're doing.

Boston fans continue to look so stupid; it's so great! *

It is cute you hate the Pats for being the best team ever. Pats haters continue to look jealous. I hope for your sanity that your team will win in your lifetime. Good luck

Man... Look how close. The ball was actually IN the endzone for a split second.

That little play was just a small bump in the road...Hawks will be back for a third straight shot at it this year. Book it.
