I am currently making an oak stout. I toasted oak chips in the oven and I am going to soak them in bourbon for a week before adding them to my secondary. The container they are soaking in was properly sanitized. Will soaking the chips and nylon bag in the bourbon suffice for sanitation? Will the alcohol in the bourbon sanitize these things, or do they need to be boiled prior to putting them in the bourbon? Any suggestions would be great, thanks. :D
