Can to much pure O2 in a starter make the yeast unhappy ?
I fear i may have over done it last night on a 2 qt starter
with the o2 (first time with o2 tank ok) ?:ban:

I don't think its possible to introduce too much O2. You'll reach a saturation point. What was your method? Did you defuse the O2 at all? If you didn't, you probably didn't put as much o2 as you thought you did in there.

splintered stanless steel thingy i got from morebeer ,it foamed up the wort real nice ,this is a 20 cubic ft tank with a welding regulator from harbor freght.

I use the O2 tank for my beers, and use a stirplate for my starters. With the stirplate working with atmospheric oxygen, the most I'll get is 8ppm.

I think it is possible to stress yeast out with too much o2 but its complex and probably not a threat at home.
