O2 Cylinder Aeration

Hey folks,
So it looks like most brew shops are out of the O2 aeration kits, except for Williams and theirs is $60 with the wand vs. $35 everywhere else without. . .

Would it work to just buy one of these and cut the gas outlet and then fit it with tubing, sanitary filter, SS stone?

I could be wrong but I think the oxygen bottle might have the opposite thread as a propane bottle so that torch head might not work. I could be wrong though, stop by your hardware store and examine the thread on the red O2 bottles and the blue propane bottles and see if they are the same.

Williams used to sell just the O2 regulator for $20 but I can't find it on their website now. You may want to give them a call.

I spoke to someone at Williams and they told me that the $35.00 ones will no longer be sold because of some liability issue. . .
