O.G. reading?

Batch #3 is in the books as of 30 minutes ago, woohoo! One question, I forgot to take my O.G. reading until after I pitched my yeast, i came up with a 1.056. It is a simple, light blonde for SWMBO and that reading seems a bit higher than I expected, does anyone know how much the yeast affects the O.G. I took the reading 5 minutes after the yeast was pitched, a WLP001 California Ale.

Should be a negligible difference, what you got is probably pretty close to the true reading
