Nottingham Works Fast!

My Haus Ale started out at 1.048 on Saturday afternoon and the airlock ceased bubbling about 24 hours later. I checked it today and it looks like this.

Gravity is at 1.015, but I noticed that the kreuzen ring is not very high as it was on my previous beers. Anyone know why?

Probably fewer proteins in the wort.

What causes that? Would the types of malt used contribute to it?
