Hello all, I am a new brewer and new to HBT. Thanks to my brother in-law I am finding a love and passion for home brewing. I am excited to get started and look forward to any and all feedback/insight I can get. Cheers.

Welcome to the forum from Friendswood TX. About 17 years ago I was living in Graham WA. Great place to live!!!!

Welcome!

Graham... I have some friends out there. I just moved from Sumner, WA. Before that I spent 4 years in Steilacoom, WA. The home brewing community out there is strong. I got a lot of stuff from The Beer Essentials in Tacoma, although their prices are high and don't take any of their advice. Best shop in your area is Larry's in Kent. It is worth the drive... they know what they are talking about. Are you in the military? There is a homebrew competition once a year at McChord AFB. I also highly recommend joining WAHA Washington Homebrewers Association

Furthermore... check out Jake's in Steilacoom if you havent already. Best beer bar in the state by far. Jakes Bar & Bistro

Right on, thanks for the info! I was going to check out Beer Essentials this week to look at odds and ends. I have gone to Larrys a couple times and totally agree, great bunch of people there and great insight.

And thank you for the lead on Jake's, I will have to take a drive down there and check it out.
