So I completed my first 5 gallon batch last Sunday but Thursday it stopped bubbling in the stopper. Is this a problem or maybe supposed to be this way. Oh ya its a Belgium triple with liquid yeast.

the most vigorous part of fermentation has likely finished, no big deal. leave it for 2 weeks in the fermenter and then take a gravity reading, then another in 2-3 days. if both readings are the same, bottle it with priming sugar for carbonation and condition for 3ish weeks.

congratz on making beer, its a new experience for me as well. good luck.

The most active part of the ferentation is over. Through the next week or so the yeast will be quietly finishing up their work. Take a specific gravity reading in a week to see what the yeast have left to accomplish.
Plan for at least three weeks in the primary for your beer to reach final gravity and for the yeast to have cleaned up the naturally produced off flavors of fermentation.
Drink your samples so you can taste what the yeast are working on.

Thanks I was hoping to here that. I'll post in another 14 days to see how it went. Thsnks sgain

+1 Time to chill out and wait. Resist the temptation to pop off the lid and peek though. Helpful to the process to leave that CO2 layer on top intact. Brew on bro!

Did you happen to make a yeast starter or pitch a couple vials? I ask, as most Triples require a high yeast count to fully finish.

As mentioned above, a stable gravity reading is the true indicator that fermentation is complete.

No start on only one vile of yesst. The local brew shop recommended the beer after some conversation as to the type of beer I liked.

Triples are great, I really enjoy them. Let us know how it goes. If you don't hit your target gravity you can always pitch another vial. Cheers!
