Nitrogen in a Party Star?

Brand new to brewing (2nd batch in bottles) and would like to keg my beer in the future. No room for a real system now (and no consent yet from the wife)so my dad gave a party star and some minikegs for Christmas. As I was searching the Internet for CO2 cartridges, I found some nitrogen cartridges and it got me thinking. If I naturally carbed a stout in the kegs and then tapped it using a nitrogen cartridge, would I get anything close to a true nitrogen tap system? Anybody tried this before or does anybody know this system well enough to know how this would turn out? Thanks.

I've used the nitrogen carts on the Tap-A-Draft. You use one CO2 and one nitrogen. They kind of work. It's sort of like a nitro tap, but, not really. The head is a little denser and maybe a little less carbonated.

I read about that set up and I sorta figured that would be the result. I'll probably give it a try just to see. Worst that happens is I waste a little money on the cartridges (not so bad) and possibly waste a little beer (that's gonna be a lot tougher to stomach).

It will still dispense your beer. Go for it!
