So I've got a bunch of crushed grains that have been vacuum sealed for several months. Pretty good Leftover Recipe if efficiency works at all. I'm hoping for 65% BHE:

That sounds like one hell of a half-assed throw together recipe. I like the blend of Munich/Vienna/American 2-row personally. I would cut the dextrine though, save that for the stouts and bocks, and maybe a touch less 120L. That stuff comes through quite pronounced at small amounts. I used .25 lbs in a 5 gal batch of Alaskan Amber clone and you could definitely tell it was there.
 
Efficiency came in at 61%, so not bad for a bunch of old crushed grain. I usually only come in between 65% and 72% with fresh LHBS crushed grain. This stuff really keeps pretty well when vacuum sealed. Can't wait to start crushing my own next week though.

My last amber ale was almost this exact recipe, but without the Vienna and with less Munich and Carapils. The crystal combo was the same and it was absolutely fantastic. That keg was about all anybody drank at a poker party I hosted.

The hydro sample was awesome - I can't wait for this one:ban: Nice and malty.

Oh, I also went with -04 for yeast at the last minute.
