Any Ideas.

I have 20kg of Maris otter pale malt.
Chocolate, Crystal, Black malt
Progress, Cascade, Golden hops.
Moltodextrin
Burtin water salts.
Pale DME and LME

I was thinking a good classic IPA and a steady session ale. what else could I do?

Do you have any recipes suitable for a novice AGer?
I plan to put this one in my new corny.

I've got 80 pints of extract Porter in the system at present, I would be good to do an AG to compare.

I'd like to do a chocolate/coffee porter but I think I'd like to get a few "Standard" brew under my belt first!

Well, like I said...you're no longer an amateur. Adding choc or coffee is just tossing in another ingredient. However, I will say that I did the same recipe 3 times in a row when I went AG (a basic American wheat...it was summer) and I think it helped as I refined my process to see the difference.

yeah for a chocolate coffee porter just use copious amounts of chocolate malt, at least a lb. for 5 gallons, and add some coffee malt or coffee in the secondary. based on what you have thats what id make. for 5 gallons do something like 1.25 lb. chocolate, 1/4 lb. coffee malt, your crystal and black patent. use your hops up to 25 IBUs. the target would be good in an ipa though.
