Hello friends,

First post! I have procured apple juice concentrate that will make about 4.5 gallons if following the directions on the containers. I also have some safcider from fermentis and an unused fermenter. I'm not a huge cider fan but the yeast was like $2.50 and the apple juice was on sale at Wally World. The plan is to make.a SIMLE dry cider. Here are my questions about the process:

1. How crucial is a secondary with ciders? I have stopped using secondaries with my beer as it really didn't seem to make a difference and it was a pain.

2. How long should I leave it in the primary? Can I bottle after there are no more bubbles in the air lock or should I wait a period of time after that?

3. Should I make the juice as directed on the containers or make 4 gallons or so, boosting the OG up?

Thanks guys!
