Just received 3 new 16 gallon kettles, plus a 10 gallon kettle (planning to use as a grant). Each of the large kettles have two existing ports (13/16") near the bottom...assuming meant for valve and thermometer. I plan on turning this into an electric system. My question is this - since I plan on drilling a few more holes and utilizing weldless bulkheads, what would be the best bulkheads to use figuring a 3-piece ball valve, opposite of a pick-up tube on the inside? Thanks in advance.

First, thanks for the recommendation - those look nice. Is it normal to have only one o-ring? If so, does it belong on the inside or outside (assuming the inside)?

It goes on the inside. I got the bulkhead with the edge pickup tube. It's pretty obvious how to install it, but I called to make sure I had it right. Bobby was very helpful.
