I have named the brewery High Plains Microbrewery. Did a stock online label creator, but looking for something that says wow! I am not good with arts and crafts and I have messed around with photoshop but still cannot get something I like. Help with a good logo would be greatly apperciated!!!

I've done a few designs for others on here and had a few minutes to goof off today. What do you think of the the following rough design?

so your photo sharing program is better than mine? i use what i have.

I don't think he is trying to be rude. It's just that nobody can see the image you posted because it's protected inside your Facebook account. Depending on your privacy settings sharing Facebook photos with the general public is impossible.

Photobucket provides free hosting of your images.

For the style of image posting forums require, yes. FB in order to protect your privacy generally blocks outside links to the images in your account.

Photobucket is made to host images for just this type of purpose. They even provide nice links premade to drop into forum posts or HTML website code. I think the free account is limited to like 25MB of images.

Imagehost, Webshots, and such are just not as userfriendly as PB.

I'm liking the Eastwood label, but those amber waves of grain are really nice tooI think either would make for really nice labels. Regards, GF.

What Size do I need to shoot for to make a standard 12 oz label and what size for a 22 oz?

I mean Pixel Size.

Pixel size has less meaning than the proper inch measurement. BTW.. there is no standard 12oz bottle. they all have different dimensions from brand to brand. I have Sam Smiths, Sam Adams, AB, Mich, alot of other assorted ones.

3.5"x4" fits best. It barley fits on some, others it looks small. On most it works well.

So What height x width does that translate to when searching for images to use as a base for the backround?

72 pixels equal one inch at screen view. So, for an ordinary low tech look I'd at least go 280x280 roughly = 4" x 4"

Reality is don't limit yourself that way. you can easily crop out the sections you want, or shrink the image down. much of what I use is far bigger than it appears. Now, that being said, don't get something icon size.. Aka.. 32x32, 48x48, etc. if you use 72x72 and print at 300x300, it may not come out the way you want in sharpness.

i just put some search word in google, say high plains, and then look at images from the search. if nothing interest you then try again, sometimes a picture might change help fine tune your name.
