So my second beer has just finished fermenting. I've only brewed one time before and did it form a kit, this time I decided to try things out on my own. I'm ready to move onto bottling and have the sugar to carbinate the beer. How do i figure out how much sugar to boil in with how much water? Its a 5 gallon batch. Also after I boil the sugar and water together, how do I mix that in with the beer to make sure i don't add oxygen?

Thanks

5 oz priming sugar, ie corn sugar and about 3/4 to 1 cup of water. Boil for 5 minutes. Start racking to your bottling bucket and pour in the sugar mixture about 1/4 of the way during racking. The racking will mix the priming solution just fine.
