hello,

I have a 20 liter keg of Shock Top beer for my bar.
I have a 5 lbs Co2 tank.
I have set the pressure to 27 PSI (that it was i was told)
My fridge temperature is 6 degrees celcius
My beer line runs for about 3 feet before reching my beer tower.

Q1 I always have a ton of foam. Can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong? The beer is fine, just have to wait forever for foam to clear. Also, the beer just shoots out really fast.

The problem seems to resolve itself at the end of the keg (when there is about 5 liters left).

Q2 how long should the Co2 bottle last. It ios going on emptyand this is my second keg?

Thank you

Your pressure is about 17 psi to high. Who told you what to set the pressure at? We also need to know what size (ID) your beer line is to make a recommendation to fix this problem. Your beer is also too warm should be at 3ºC or lower.

Beer too warm (try about 3*C)

Line too short (try 10 ft and slowly shorten from there)

Pressure way too high (wow). Try 10-12 psi and release excess pressure from the keg if you can. If not, pour a pitcher at the lower pressure.

Finally, taps are meant to be operated like on-off switches. If you partially open, you'll get foam even if all else is set up correctly.

I serve shock top at 10psi with 12ft of hose and at 36 degrees. Works great with about 2 fingers of foam.
