I'm a beginner. I have 5 brews under my belt, and I want to brew my first Belgian this weekend. Every Belgian I've had I've really liked, but I'm a novice on the Belgian jargon, i.e. Dubbel, Triple, Quad, Trappist, etc., and which flavors are associated with each type.
I like the fairly sweet and strong profile, and it seems my favorite Belgians are more caramel/brown/amber in color...is that usually a Dubbel? Maredsous 6 and 8 are two of my favorites.
Do any of you Belgian lovers has any recipe recommendations to send my way? Sorry for my ignorance!
