Hey guys, i'm about to brew up a 2 gallon(mr. beer fermenter) batch of edworts apfelvien, but my damn corn sugar was mailed to the wrong address yesterday, and I'm going to be using plain old table sugar. So, what ratio of table sugar should i use with a 2 gallon batch of edworts?

I've used light brown sugar in that recipe and it tasted great. It was a little darker color when finished than the batch with corn sugar. A little more Carmel taste too. I used 2 pounds in a 5 gallon batch.

I used white table sugar but been thinking of sugar in the raw. Anybody try it?

Well I didn't get the usual snappy response, so I went ahead and put .4lbs(just under) so I'll let you guys know in a month how it turns out.

The same ratio as corn sugar, for apfelwein, it's pretty much interchangeable; same for brown sugar/raw sugar.
Regards, GF.
