Just curious what would get partial boils boiling quicker on a stovetop a narrow turkey fryer pot on a single burner or a wide pot covering 2 burners? plan on doing a partial boil recipe from this site and want to get a good boil going but don't know which one would be better

It really depends on how wide your wide pot is- when I used the keggle on the stove it was fine but I definitely lost some heat around the sides. As long as most of the flame is getting under the pot, more heat input should result in quicker boils.

My 20 qt pot straddles two gas burners on my stove and that definitely boils faster and more vigorously than on a single burner. I kill one burner during hop additions and any time boil over threatens

^^this. definitely go wide over 2 burners. my 30 quart pot only boils while over 2 burners.
