Snowy serious mountains in the distance, river looks the colour of snow melt, the roof on the bridge in the foreground looks like it is intended to keep rain/snow off the users rather than act as sunshade.

So if we're in North America then I assume we're in the Rockies, and up the snowy end rather than the sunny end. Somewhere I've not been, I don't recognise any of it. And it looks a fairly big place, it's a city this Brit should have heard of.

One peculiarity is the lack of old buildings, it's clearly had an economic boom in the last 20 years or so. The obvious recent economic boom in the northern Rockies is oil, which could mean the Dakotas. But they're only on the fringes of the big mountains and I wonder if the red and white bridge is a hint that we're in Canada, so are we stampeding towards Canada's oiltown - Calgary?
