I apologize guys, my hint was not correct.
The photo is taken BETWEEN the guesses of Santorini Greece and Jerez de La Frontera, Spain. I stated that Santorini was too far west, but that was incorrect.
So, to simplify: The picture is west of Santorini, Greece. West of Syros, Greece. East of Jerez de La Frontera.

Right country but no.
This town is heavily visited by the British, who also own a lot of homes here.
The region is known for olive oil. This is near the coast.

Here it is finally. Sorry for the slow respone. Not exactly a skyline shot but hopefully one of you will recognize it.
I know that building is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My aunt has been there, I remember the pictures.

OK. I have no real clue, but I'm going to get things started by a wild guess --- Kissimmee, Florida

There isn't much to go on there. Coast of something, obviously due to the water (Kissimmee not on coast).
Palm trees, tropical. Sun seems to be coming from the water side, and assuming this is an evening picture, it's the west coast of some place.
There's a hill there. That almost rules out my state.
Architecture style, metal roof, probably US. Haven't seen metal roofs ever overseas.
I'll take a wild azz guess and go with something between long beach and mexico in calif. I'll go San Mateo.
