Yep. How in the world did you know that?

My methods are pretty crude; that's why I don't hit too often! If there's nothing in the picture to Google for further clues, I just guess a city, Google it, and look at the images that I come up with.

In this case, I was looking all over Texas and California until your clue. Jackson was the third one I checked, and I found a shot that was identical to yours.

Let's try this one:

Well that was easy haha. I was there last night and thought I'd snag a shot for this thread. Looks like we're back to you.

Is that St. Augustine, FL? From the lighthouse?

Went there about 10 years ago but don't have any pics, but Google seems to confirm.

OK let's see who can get this one. Sorry for the haziness, there were some fires out west that lowered the air quality.

I'm going to demonstrate my complete ignorance of what I assume to be Southern California and take a wild-ass guess that it's Palm Springs through a lot of smoke.

Nothing correct so far. Perhaps my wording was a bit misleading - though the fires that caused the diminished air quality were indeed out of California, this pic was taken last August in a state several hundred miles to the east.

The prominent feature there in the distance should be fairly obvious if you've been to this city. However an additional hint is that the place (mountain) I'm standing on to take the photo is arguably much more notable in terms of a skyline pic of this city, but I figured that would be too easy so I give the reverse angle.

Nope, not in AZ.

Hint: The picture was taken from a 14,000 ft peak, and there's no taller mountain to the east of it in the US.

San Luis Peak, Colorado Springs, CO?

No, yes.

arnobg called out Colorado Springs first, which is the correct city that we're looking at (specifically the Garden of the Gods is the rock outcrop), so I think you win even though jmark named the correct peak (Pikes Peak) first and gets the bonus points.

I'll play fair since I've posted before and let jmark go since he got it all right.
