I needed a way to take a couple of kegs to kayaking festivals and such adventures. With little budget and a bit of scrounging through my shed, (and a bit of online shopping... but don't tell SWMBO,) I came up with this:

I take the taps off for transport in the back of a truck or trailer.
Here's the guts... run by a "CO2 inflator" that was on sale at Canadian Tire

PROs:
Simple, rugged, functional
CONs:
I thought I could get away without insulation, but 3 big bags of ice dissolved in no time. There's not a lot of room inside. I might wrap the outside with that tinfoil/bubblewrap stuff. Might also be able to sneak a tiny bit of insulation inside.
Other problem... the tap handle stick up above the top, so when the lid is off and upside down for "servicing", they get turned on. I might add a protective bump at the top that could double as a tip jar.
