So here's my story. So my new wife and I are temporarily moved in with her family to save up some money. I've been using the very cramped laundry room area with slop sink for all my cleaning and chilling for my brewing operations. I've used it several times now without issue. So here I am tonight; I had just kegged up a nice batch of IPA. I have a bucket with quite a large amount of yeast in it. Not really giving any thought to it, I dump all of the yeast into the sink and go about rinsing the bucket and rinsing the sink really well to make sure all of the trub gets down the drain. As I'm almost finished I start to notice that my foot feels wet through my slipper. I look down and to my surprise there is yeast water EVERYWHERE. This laundry room is quite cramped and the mess made its way under, behind and every possible thing in the laundry room. Now that was not fun to clean. Ended up going through quite a few towels in the process. Wish I had taken a picture so you all could share in my pain. I'm expecting that laundry room to smell like beer for quite a while. I've decided that the moral to this story is that I should never dump yeast. I should always wash and reuse. I guess the beer gods were punishing me for wasting their precious gift of billions and billions of yeast cells.
