I just drank one of my barleywines. I impressed myself with this one. it is GOOD! One of em though and I am a little swervy. Gonna brew it again in a week or two.

this is what I did.... The pound of corn sugar added later was due to low efficiency on this batch for some reason.

Recipe? I've been wanting to do a 3G BW for a while.
17 POUNDS PALE MALT

1.5 POUNDS CORN SUGAR

1 POUND CRYSTAL 20

1 POUND CRYSTAL 80

MASHED AT 148.5 DEGREES FOR 90 MINUTES WITH 6 GALLONS OF WATER. RAN OFF ABOUT 3.5 GALLONS.....SINGLE BATCH SPARGED WITH 3 GALLONS OF WATER...MISSED THE TEMP BY 5 DEGREES. SHOT FOR 168 AND GOT 163......... AND RAN OFF TO 6.5 GALLONS.

60 MINUTE BOIL
1.5 OZ NUGGET @60 MINUTES
1 OZ NORTHERN BREWER @ 60 MINUTES
.5 OZ CENTENNIEL ( LEAF) @ 20 MINUTES
.5 OZ CENTENNIEL (LEAF) @ 5 MINUTES.

OG WAS 1.088 ...........PITCHED ON AN S-05 YEAST CAKE FROM A CENTENNIEL BLOND...HAD MASSIVE ACTIVITY ALMOST IMMEDIATELY...ADDED 1 POUND OF CORN SUGAR TO PRIMARY TO BUMP UP THE ABV ON 3-4-10 SHOULD MAKE THE OG 1.097
TRANSFERRED TO SECONDARY 3-17-10==SG =1.010-1.012
