Hey, I just thought I would share my Mash & Boil experience after a few first brews. TLDR; I loved it (After some modifications) and posted some pics and a few hints here. Salud!

Is the white bucket on the right just used to keep the pump and lines at the right height?

I'm guessing that bucket is in case the pump fails.

Its just an old bucket. I used it to clamp the pump to something. I am coming up with a more permanent solution.
