My Kegerator died

I bought it used on craigslist 5 or 6 years ago for $30. Can't believe it already died. I dumped the kegs (only 1 gallon left between the two) and was forced to buy a 12 pack of Hudepohl just to make it through the weekend.

It's hard to be a homebrewer.

How did it die? it won't start, it won't cool, etc.?

Compressor locked up. It wasn't worth fixing.

You bought a used kegerator and it lasted 6 years? Consider yourself lucky.

I bought my freezer brand new less than a year and a half before it died on me, will only cool in one portion so it doesn't get cold enough. Had just put a new beer in and haven't even had a chance to try it yet as funds are tight so I can't get a new one yet

6 yrs / $30 = $5 per year. Not too bad.
