Okay, so three days ago I mowed my grass... it is a healthy yard, the best in my 'hood. Well, today I wake up and look out and it looks like my grass is covered in snow! It is spider webs... the ENTIRE LAWN (11,000) square feet is completely covered! There is not a square foot that is not covered... the dew on the webs makes it look white, like snow, my neighbors are in awe. Also, my lawn is the only one that got the WEB treatment, so what gives??

I think we all know where this is leading...

It wqs funnel spiders... or grass spiders as they are sometimes called. They are harmless and arent likely to enter the house. I did have to mow the grass today, and wiped out all of the webs... but there were THOUSANDS of spiders everywhere! My neighbors called today to ask me what the hell was up with my yard! We will see if they return! Sorry, no pics... just imagine an 11,000 square foot spider web!

If they return, we expect pics. How big is a funnel spider anyway?

Edit: First thing a person should do when seeing something bizarre, amazing, etc... Ask himself/herself.... Would my buds on HBT want to see this? If yes, then pics.

Hey, don't look at me, it's Spiderman doing all the wanton mastubation all over the poor Pol's yard!

The spiders were not large, the babies were the size of an ant, the adults seemed no more than 3/8" in dia. This morning so far, no webs... my house started to look like some freaky haunted house from a Halloween movie!

I watched this morning as all the fish in my pond grew wings, flew out of the pond and did some unsuspecting sparrows from behind, doggy style......But I forgot to take pics, so it never officially happened. ;)

Did it look something like this???
