I had planned on modifying the door to accommodate the 3rd keg, but with the kegs arranged as such, the door closes without any extra effort....one less thing to do, cool!
I disabled the butter warmer...basically, just disconnected the wires capped & taped them. I did drill a hole in the back of the butter tray and pulled the capped wires through so they aren't buried. I might re-evaluate this, but for the time being, it seems fine.
I decided to not run beer lines through the freezer...it hovers just about 0 degrees, so even insulated, I would have lines freezing all the time. So, I only had a couple of options on where I could place my faucets. I measured a bunch of times and drilled 2 of the 3 holes and drilled divots for the 3rd. I don't have hardware for the 3rd keg yet, when I get it (hopefully today) I will add it.
I thought this picture was funny. What it shows is the start of how I install my shanks. I drill a 1" hole, front and back. Then use a 1" aluminum tube, feed it through, mark & cut to length. The Shank slides in and fits perfectly...no slop.
My almost finished Kegerator. I still need to run my airline and hook everything up. First though,I need a longer air hose, which I have modified the drain hole in the fridge compartment for it to fit through and feeds out the bottom of the fridge.
I think it looks clean and simple....I am very happy with it. Let me know what you think!
