Well this all started because I don’t like paying for stuff :D (I know I can make myself) And I don’t have any fancy machining tools. So many walks at the local scrap yard for part for a grain mill was disappointing, so I had the idée of using old rubber printer rollers (old OKI printer)
So I build the box and used the rollers and it actually work, BUT there was a problem with the rubber, it came off during milling!! So I sanded down the rollers and pressed them inside an aluminum pipe I had lying around (by lying around I mean I Toke it from the roof where it was connected to the TV antenna :D)
it look a lot better and shinny, but now it was smooth and did not take-up the grain so I used a hack saw to make a knurling pattern(toke like a whole day :() and there we have it, a free grain mill, the "grainenator" ......well it would have been if one could use the whole length of the tube because it turns out that if the grain goes through the whole length of the mill, it puts to much stress on the rollers and makes it almost impossible too turn, thus the small hopper

Well now I can always use the other side for pasta making :D

Your rollers are way to close. Try spacing them out just a little i bet you will get better results.

Had a look at the pic again and it is actualy at a funny angle, the gap is a good 1 mm or 0.039. The interesting thing is that when the mill is running the rollers actual give way a bit ( thin shafts) , but yes the milled grain result is a bit "floury". Mashing first batch tonight so we will see http://imageshack.us/f/716/dsc03430tt.jpg/:mug:
