I'm going to brew tomorrow, but I don't have a traditional muslin bag for my grain. For the sake of time I was wondering if there would be any harm in using a nylon stocking (unused...of course ). Just not sure if the heat and color in the sock would screw up the brew in some way? Thanks in advance.

Oh, do yourself a big favor and head to any big hardware store and get paint strainer bags. They are cheap, and you will never buy hop bags again. The 5 gallon ones are awesome for doing large dry hopping in buckets too.
