I was wondering if its acceptable to pitch multiple yeast starters to a beer instead of adding it all at once. I had a smack pack with a lower viability than I thought it had. I ran out of time to step it up so I ran to the homebrew store to pick up another yeast starter. It's viability straight from the smack pack still doesn't put me where I need to be without use of a starter. So, can I pitch the single starter I've made now, and then add a future starter the next day? Does this defeat the purpose of a starter by doing multiple inoculations? Some unforeseen time constraints have stopped me from making the starter I wanted.
