This year, for the first time since they were born, I did not have to prompt/remind/harass my children into doing something for Mother's Day. They're 26 and 24, btw LOL. Two weeks ago, they asked Nancy if they could take us out for dinner for Mother's Day and that's what they are doing tomorrow night (they're spending today with our daughter-in-law's mother). Today, I'm preparing a meal for Nancy including her favorites - skillet herbed chicken, boiled potatoes with butter and dill, Scandinavian-style red cabbage, and roasted asparagus. I have a gin-and-tonic waiting for her for when she gets home from church (today's a work day for her, she's a pastor).
