Mormon tea

Has anyone tried homebrewing with this in the wort? It's a tame member of the ephedra genus that grows wild throughout the desert. When made in to a tea it had energy and decongestant properties. It supposedly tastes very good, too?

Meth does seem to be prevalent out here.

We call it Brigham tea here in Utah. I had the tea once I think. I don't think it's worth using in any way ever again.
