Greetings all happy new year.

I just tried my first beer, of my first batch, it has been bottled for 2 weeks now and I was kinda hoping on a bit more carbonation... Will it continue to increase as I let it sit?
Average temp in the kitchen is from 65º to 70º average, where it is sitting. I used 5oz prime sugar to 4.5 gallons...

65 to 70 degrees is just a little low for carbonation and it will take longer than if it were warmer. Another factor is beer maturing and feeling like it has more carbonation while it does not. The 3 week average carbonation is also to let the beer mature some.
 
Make sure you put it in the fridge at least overnight before you drink it. Don’t just leave it in long enough for the bottle to get cold. Liquid absorbs CO2 better when cold. Plus is little cold conditioning is always a good thing
