JacktardBrewmeister
The Mad Zymurgist
Hey all, sorry I have been away for a while. Brewing as usual but I have to start my next beer which is one of my secret recipes (so I won't go into too much detail on the grains and sugars). Anywho, this Beer has won me several awards in the past and this time I want to win some more!
It is a beer with an O.G. of around. 1.117 to 1.124 varying between those numbers from year to year. I can usually, in three months, get an F.G. of 1.014 to 1.020 depending. This is a Belgian-Style Triple (though my friends want me to coin the term Quad, which I think already exists) but the final ABV on average is 13% to 15%.
Now, the question. I usually use 1 pack of Mangrove Jack M31 for this sexy beast (Which I named "The Muscles from Brussels" because it is Sean Claude Van Damme good). My question is, should I use two packs of Mangrove Jack for a safer and faster fermenting beer, or should I stick to my tried and true method? Perhaps, what would be the plausible difference if I used 2 packs vs 1?
Again, I am asking out of curiosity mostly. I'll most likely not change a thing at all, but I have read posts discussing 2 packs vs 1 pack of dry yeast, but with much weaker beers. In this case, this beer is pretty beastly in comparison. Thanks... oh, and btw... I AM INSANE!!!!
