Anyone use a mix of these beans? How'd it come out?

Looking for ways to make a vanilla bomb stout (like BCBS Vanilla variant). The only thing I can come up with is massive amounts of vanilla beans (2 per gallon??) in secondary and possibly the use of other vanilla products in the boil (vanilla paste?).

What is the most amount of beans you've used in a stout?

I've used Tahitian and Madagascar together. I would describe the result as fruitier than with only Madagascar.

The most beans I've used in 5 gallons of stout is three beans in secondary, and I would describe it as borderline vanilla bomb. These were rather large, plump beans from Beanilla.

Yeah, not sure I want fruitier....

I always get my beans from Beanilla and I love those. The most beans I've used was 5 beans in 5 gallons. That was NOT beanilla though, that was some ****** beans before I found Beanilla.

Have you had the BCBS Vanilla Variant from a couple of years ago? That's really the only beer that comes to mind when I think vanilla bomb. All other vanilla stouts have been disappointing to me.

My only other question is how long do you let your beans soak in vodka? I was reading beanilla's site and they say 8 weeks and I've only done 2-3, which could be part of my problem.

My mom makes vanilla extract . She lets it go for 6 months. I go 2-3 weeks as well. I'm going to make some and let it sit for months before I use it.
