milled grains question

how long can i store milled grains? 1 lb is the minimum i can order online, the recipe calls for 1/2 lb steeping grain. if i store them in the cabinet in a sealed zip lock bag how long will the stay good so i can use the rest for another batch.

I've stored milled grain in sealed bags in the freezer for several months with no problems that I've noticed. Although I'd recommend using them as soon as possible after they're crushed.

I try to use crushed grain ASAP, but have had no issues storing it up to a month.

If you don't use all of your crushed grain immediately, a vacuum sealer comes in handy.
