Hello all. Quick question. Has anyone ever tried putting flavored extract, like blackberry, into a 5 gallon batch of finished mead?
Interesting, I've never had a problem getting peach flavor in my meads.....pyments, I guess they'd be, to some degree....I use white grape/peach juice in primary, peaches in secondary....definitely peachy. My "house mead" seems to be a light sparkling peach pyment/hydromel - my Mrs absolutely loves it, and as long as I have some on hand, she doesn't mind me making odder concoctions (my favorite so far has been my oaked habanero/ginger root, but....it's not to everyone's tastes...heh).Yep. It's a great way to get difficult flavors (like peach) in the mead.
