I received this from the organizer at St. Lewis Brews because I've entered ciders in their comps before. Just passing this on to the brethren as an FYI:

The Mead Me in St. Louis (And Cider Me Too) competition for meads and ciders is opening soon! Participants and Judges/Stewards can register now, and entry registration is from 8/5/2024 through 8/30/2024. Judging will be the weekend after Labor Day, on Friday, Sept 6 and Saturday, Sept 7. The link to register is:

This is the inaugural opening of the Mead Me competition, and we are very excited to be able to have meads and ciders judged by many competent and ranked judges. This allows our judges to focus on meads and ciders and it also allows us to accept more entries as HHHC has a cap that was frequently hit within just a few days.

Our new competition date coincides with National Honey Month, and as such, we were able to obtain extra honey prizes from our friends at the National Honey Board.

We've received our medals for the competition, and I'm sure you'll agree that they're beautiful! And we are also creating one-of-a-kind awards for our BOS winners.

We hope you'll consider entering your meads and ciders into our competition. And if you're a mead or cider judge, think about helping us judge in what is sure to be a fantastic competition!
