McCann carbonator not starting

Hello,

I have recently setup a soda system. I bought the carbonator new. But it won't start.

I have a water pressure reducer as I thought it was the culprit at first. I followed the instructions (fill the tank with water, turn on the CO2, plug in) but no luck.

I'm not sure whether it should start right away or not, all I hear is a ticking noise but the motor never seems to kick in.

Do you think it's busted, or do you have any advice for troubleshooting?

Did you ever get this figured out? We just set up our carbonator and are experiencing the same thing.
