Brewing a malt extract APA. O.G. 10.063. 2 days later the Gravity has dropped to 10.020. Also, little to no signs of fermentation as of yet. I forgot to aerate the wort but thought the transfer from pot to FV would do the trick. any ideas??

Wow - that must have been a lot of extract to hit 10.063! Are you sure you used any water?:)

Seriously - your beer is fine. Leave it for another 10 days or so and check again.

found out my job couldn't take the load of 23 litres so halfed the water and kept the recipe the same. Thanks for the re-assurance.

Ohhh!

That will be some strong flavoured, bitter as hell beer you're making there! :tank:

Belive me, I accidently made one of my batches twice as bitter as they should be when I was brewing from extract. The aftertaste was way too bitter at first, but now after a few months it's really amazing. Don't know yet if it's the beer that changed it bitterness or that I've toughened up! :ban:
