I've been thinking that I would like to have the capabilities to mash in a brew pot with a false bottom vs. my current coleman cooler MT. Here some information for equipment that I already have on hand:
1. 40 qt boil kettle- has thermometer and threaded valve.
2. 16 qt kettle - strike water/sparge water
3. Rectangular coleman MT- has cpvc manifold
I get about 72-74% eff. from my MT. I'm not unhappy with it. It works great, but I would like something that I can eventually use for larger, 10 gallon batches. Also, I would like to try some BIABs, as well.
The question in standing is how large of a brew pot should I invest in? I've seen some 15 gallon kettles that look like they'll be big enough, but I want to know what others mash in when it comes to pots? Thanks
