So i did a Mangrove Jacks Raspberry and Lime Cider. At the begining of fermentation the OG was 1.048, but after 10 hours it had increased to 1.062.
How can this be?
What OG should i use for my ABV calculation?

OG 1.048 gives an ABV of 5.8%
OG 1.062 gives an ABV of 7.6%

It can't be.

Or your measuring equipment is faulty, or it was not well stired and some part of the liquid was more sweet than the one you were measuring (with time it mixes automatically because of the osmose stuff).

You should use the higher OG for your calculation if you equipment is good, if not, you are screwed any way.

I don't know much about the rapt hydrometers. How sensitive are they to temperature changes and do they compensate automatically? You also had a 5 deg C temperature drop in those first 10 hours.
