Hey- I'm doing an IPA tomorrow and I have a pound of the Mandarina hops. This is a 10 gallon batch, and I love juicy IPAs. My plan was to pair these with Amarillo or Mosaic or both. I have Citra too. my plan is to do two total pounds of hops on brew day.
I want the orangey flavor. However, I have heard this hop is subtle. If you have used these hops, I am wondering what you've found the best timing to be to get that orangey flavor and aroma. I plain to bitter with a small dose of warrior for 60 minutes. Nothing else will be added until 5 minutes are left and then the hop-stand and dry hops. kinda like a NEIPA thing.
