i just created 2 threads now the are both gone with in the last 30 min. Where did they go?

Yes but moved to a section I don’t visit much. And cuz I could not delete the one in extract

I asked for a kit that is why it was in the extract section. The recipe section does not seem to get the traffic. I could not delete it so o reposted in beginners section because I am a beginner and didn’t think that would be a problem

It wasn't a problem. We're always trying to keep this forum organized, and move threads around all the time to do that. But I agree maybe we shouldn't move threads out of the beginner's section. I understand this a huge forum, easy to get lost in here, and some parts of the forum might be a bit intimidating for new brewers. I'll put it back for you.

The truth is, you'd probably get better / more responses there though.

I'm probably wrong, but I always assume most people browse the same way I do. I just click on either 'new posts' or 'watched threads' at the top and look for topics that sound interesting and don't pay much attention to what forum it is in.

I do miss the button that would pull up only unanswered posts though.

Members who have been here for a while do that, but for new brewers it might not be practical. I don't presume to know the OP's experience, but when I got started most of the terms in the threads here, the acronyms, the processes, the equipment, all of it would have read like greek to me. I'd have stayed in the shallow end for a while :)

That's what I do too.

We try to keep the forum organized as best we can, and don't allow double posts so they will be combined into the proper area. Posting the exact same thing in a different forum isn't going to get more replies, since people already saw it.

That thread looked like it was about recipe(s) and ingredients, so that is why it was moved into recipe/ingredients.

I always think of the beginner's forum as an advice forum for techniques or making a kit, etc. When people ask about ingredients/recipes whether they are beginning or advanced, I look in the recipes/ingredients forum.

I agree with most said but I am a new brewer and people seem to be easier to talk to in the beginner forum. At the time no one had responded so I was trying to move it to a different spot where I thought I might get more people that are still brewing kits. Plus since I don’t go in the ingredients section I didn’t know it was there. Thanks again for all the help

When you feel you've posted a thread in the wrong forum, simply ask a mod to move it to a more suitable one, and/or change the title if you think that would help.
Looks like it's all sorted now.

I agree, the beginners forum is much less intimidating, but as @passedpawn said, chances are you'll get better responses in the more proper forum.
